Oman and France review military ties

PARIS: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, met with Catherine Vautrin, Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs of the French Republic, at the Élysée Palace in Paris, on Monday during the official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the French Republic.


They discussed the strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly French Republic, as well as a number of topics of common interest, particularly the existing military cooperation between the two countries’ defence ministries, and ways to enhance it to achieve shared interests and serve the aspirations of the leadership of the two friendly nations for greater cooperation and coordination.


General Vincent Giraud, Chief of Staff to the President of the French Republic, attended the meeting. — ONA
